Pecan pralines. Ingredients: 2 cups sugar, 2 cups pecan halves, 3/4 cup plain yogurt, 2 tbsp butter, 1/8 tsp. Salt, 3/4 tsp. Baking soda. In a large saucepan, combine all Ingredients except baking soda. Cook, while slowly stirring, over low heat, until the sugar dissolves. Cover pan and cook over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes to allow sugar crystals to wash from sides of pan. Uncover and cook to soft ball stage (235f), stirring constantly. Remove from heat and quickly stir in the baking soda. Beat vigorously with a wooden spoon just until the mixture starts to harden. Quickly drop by tablespoonfuls onto buttered waxed paper. Let stand until firm.
